Terms of Service

Last updated 4 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the bin cleaning and management services provided by Strictly Bins ("we", "us", "our"). By signing up to engage our services, confirming the service through our sign-up confirmation, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

Please read these alongside our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

1. Our service

Strictly Bins provides a residential wheelie-bin cleaning and management service. On your scheduled service day, after your council waste contractor has emptied your bins, we:

  • Collect your emptied bins from the kerbside or in front of your property
  • Clean them inside and out, disinfect and deodorise them
  • Remove any loose items stuck inside the bin, and retrieve and remove flyaway waste immediately in front of your property
  • Return your bins neatly to your property edge with the lids closed

We bring our own water and power and do not use yours.

We do not enter your home. The service is performed at the kerbside or property edge unless you have specifically requested our optional bring-out-bring-in assistance, see section 3.

We do not offer a full waste collection service. That service is provided by your local council or its contractor. If your waste has not been collected and your bins are full, we do not empty them and cannot perform our service, see section 2.

If any loose items or flyaway waste is deemed unsafe to handle, for example broken glass or hazardous material, we may not be able to remove those items. If we come across such material and decide not to remove it, or not to perform the service, we will let you know.

2. Service day cadence and operational specifics

Service day cadence is agreed with you in advance, for example monthly or fortnightly, when you sign up. The exact days we service your bins will coincide with your local council's designated collection day cycle.

We will always service your bins after the council contractor has emptied them, and our aim is to complete this by 6:00pm on collection day. We will advise you of your upcoming service the day before by SMS or email.

On the occasion that:

  • Your bins have not been emptied by the local council contractor by 6:00pm on your designated service day, or
  • You have inadvertently forgotten to place your bins out for collection, or
  • You have inadvertently not placed your bins out in time for collection, or
  • You have inadvertently placed the wrong bin out for collection, for example yellow instead of green, or
  • We notice that one or more of your bins are damaged or unsafe to handle, see section 9

we will contact you, and either reschedule your service for a mutually convenient time, or if rescheduling is not practical, skip that service and not charge you for it.

You will never be charged for a scheduled service we do not perform. If your bin is damaged, we recommend contacting your local council to have it repaired or replaced.

3. Optional bring-out-bring-in assistance

In limited cases, for example if you have difficulty moving your bins, and in addition to our core service in section 1, we may agree to bring your bins out from your property for collection and return them afterwards for an additional charge agreed in advance.

This service is offered at our sole discretion, arranged and quoted individually, and only where you have requested it. Where it involves accessing part of your property, you authorise us to do so for that purpose.

This charge is over and above the charge for our core service, will be quoted on application, and may require a site visit.

4. Weather, public holidays and events beyond our control

Generally we will still service your bins on a public holiday, as long as the council collection service is still going ahead that day. If a public holiday results in a change to your collection day, we will contact you to reschedule for a mutually convenient time. If rescheduling is not practical, we will skip that service and not charge you for it.

If we cannot perform a service due to circumstances beyond our control, for example flooding, storms, or hazards preventing access, we will reschedule your service or not charge you for it. We will not be liable for delays or non-performance caused by such circumstances.

5. Fees and payment

Frequency of service, service type, add-ons and associated pricing are all confirmed in advance via an acceptance form.

  • All prices published, quoted and accepted are inclusive of GST.
  • For subscription customers we operate on a trust-first basis. We take your first payment after your first service has been completed. The only exception is one-off services, where we require payment in advance.
  • Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. After your first service we will send you a secure link to set up payment for your ongoing subscription.
  • Subscriptions are billed per visit, on the frequency you selected.
  • We do not accept cash.
  • If a payment fails, we may contact you to arrange payment and may pause your service until it is resolved.

6. No lock-in contract

There are no lock-in contracts and no minimum term for our service.

7. Cancelling or pausing

You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time by giving us at least 2 business days' notice in writing before your next scheduled service, so we can adjust your schedule and billing. We will not charge you for service after your cancellation takes effect.

We do not charge cancellation or exit fees.

We may also pause or end our service to you, for example if we can no longer service your area, or in the case of non-payment or unsafe conditions. We will give you reasonable notice in writing if we do.

8. Bin placement and identification

You are responsible for putting the correct bins out, and in time for collection, unless you use our bring-out-bring-in service, see section 3.

With your permission, we may place a small, discreet identifying sticker on your bins to help us service them efficiently going forward. We will ask your permission before doing so.

9. Liability

We take care in performing our service and carry public liability insurance. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you have under Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees, which cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to those non-excludable rights:

  • Our liability to you is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the amount you paid for the affected service
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage to bins, or for damage arising from bins that are already cracked, brittle, worn or faulty
  • We are not liable for loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control, or by your failure to provide safe and unfettered access

10. Products and the environment

We use cleaning products intended to be safe for household use and chosen with the environment in mind, and we dispose of wastewater responsibly and in accordance with applicable requirements.

If you or your household have specific sensitivities, please let us know.

11. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. If we make a material change that affects your service, we will let you know in writing.

13. Contact and governing law

If you have any questions or need to reach us, contact us at hello@strictlybins.com.au or 1300 317 701.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

14. Severance

Each clause and subclause of these Terms is separate and independent. If any clause or subclause is found to be invalid or ineffective, the other clauses or subclauses or parts thereof will not be adversely affected.
